Combine your application documents into one PDF
Application portals often allow one upload slot with a size cap. Put your documents in the order a reviewer expects, merge them in your browser, and compress only if the portal rejects the size.

Steps
- Export each document to PDF first (resume, cover letter, transcript, certificates). Photos of paper documents can be turned into a PDF with JPG to PDF.
- Add them to Merge in reading order—usually cover letter, resume, then supporting documents.
- Merge & download, then open the file and check the page order.
- If the portal has a size cap, run Compress with Fit to size (under 1, 2, or 5 MB).
- Name the file clearly, for example Lastname_Firstname_Application.pdf.
FAQ
Will compressing make my resume blurry?
Compression re-renders pages as images, so crisp text can soften. If your merged file is already under the limit, skip compression. If not, compress and check it at 100% zoom.
Will links in my resume still work?
Merging keeps page content; clickable links usually survive a merge but are lost if you then compress, because compressed pages become images.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Merge and compress both run in your browser.
What does it cost?
A one-time $1.49 24-hour pass covers a single application day. Or start a 7-day trial (card required), then $2.99/mo or $19/yr until you cancel.
